The LLM at the LSE Law School offers advanced legal study with the option to specialize in Law, Politics and Social Change. The programme is internationally oriented, combining legal doctrine and policy analysis in the context of significant societal transformation. LSE’s LLM exposes students to a diversity of legal systems, policy debates, and interdisciplinary approaches, aiming to deepen understanding of how law interacts with political and social change globally. Students must take four courses (eight half-units), with at least four from the specialist area to qualify for the specialism on their degree certificate. Graduates pursue careers in legal practice, policy research, government, NGOs, or academia.
