The BA Geography at LSE offers a broad education in human, economic, and environmental geography with a strong policy and social science orientation. Students can specialize in areas such as urban development, geopolitics, and environmental change. The program includes a compulsory international field trip in the second year (currently to Havana, Cuba), a required dissertation in the third year, and opportunities for hands-on fieldwork throughout. Students may add a language specialism to their degree by successfully completing one language course each year in the same language (French, Spanish, German, Mandarin, or Russian), progressing to higher proficiency levels. Graduates are equipped for careers not only in environmental and geographic fields but also in sectors like finance, government, policy, and media.
