The BSc International Relations and History at LSE is a joint honours undergraduate programme that explores the dynamic interplay between international relations and historical developments from the 16th century to the present day. Students study both the theoretical and practical aspects of international relations alongside key historical events and trends that have shaped the modern world. The curriculum covers political, economic, social, and cultural perspectives, using global case studies across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Britain. The programme is taught by faculty from the Department of International History and the Department of International Relations. Graduates develop analytical skills and the ability to evaluate complex evidence, preparing for careers in politics, government, NGOs, journalism, and research.
