BSc Politics and International Relations at LSE is a joint honours programme offered by the Department of International Relations in collaboration with the Department of Government. The programme provides in-depth study of both politics (comparing political ideologies and systems in varied cultural and national contexts) and international relations (exploring the theory and practice of international community, power, institutions, and global challenges). The curriculum consists of 12 units across three years, with each year featuring core and elective modules spanning foundational political science, political theory, and the major themes of international relations such as security, political economy, and institutions. Students develop analytical, communication, and research skills, preparing them for careers in policy, government, finance, research, and consultancy. The programme attracts a diverse student body and draws upon LSE’s leading research and global alumni network.
