The BSc Actuarial Science with a Year in Industry at the School for Business and Society, University of York, prepares students for a career as a professional actuary. The curriculum covers advanced mathematical concepts such as probability theory, statistics, and calculus, combined with business economics, accounting, and corporate finance. Students develop strong analytical and computational skills, apply mathematical reasoning to financial risk, and gain practical industry experience through a placement year.
