Queen Mary University of London's MBBS (A100) is a five-year undergraduate medical degree. The curriculum is systems-based and built around professional knowledge, clinical skills, medical professionalism, and patient-centred care. Early years focus on campus-based learning, with later years taught in primary and secondary care clinical settings. Students undertake studies at FHEQ Levels 5, 6, and 7, with core modules covering about 80% of the degree and student-selected components making up 20%. The program aims to develop graduates who meet and exceed the General Medical Council (GMC) requirements, ready for practice as Foundation Year doctors. Teaching is linked to leading medical research and delivered both in classrooms and clinical placements in NHS Trusts and affiliated GP practices.
