The MSc Social Science Research (Sustainable Development, Net Zero and Climate Resilience Pathway) at Loughborough University is an ESRC-accredited master’s program designed for students interested in developing advanced research skills in sustainable development and climate resilience. The pathway combines the study of qualitative and quantitative research methods, research design, and ethics with specialized modules focusing on the challenges and strategies for achieving net zero emissions and building resilience to climate change. Teaching draws on expertise from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Centre for Sustainable Transitions: Energy, Environment and Resilience (STEER), allowing students to benefit from leading research in sustainability and energy transitions.
