The Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies at Yonsei University (Underwood International College – Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences Division) is an interdisciplinary program dedicated to the humanistic study of Asian histories, cultures, and societies. The curriculum combines coursework across the humanities, social sciences, and language. Students take a gateway course in the first year, build on interdisciplinary Common Curriculum, complete a sequence of core courses led by dedicated Asian Studies faculty, and select electives from literature, history, philosophy, and regional studies. All students must complete two semesters of language study (Korean, Chinese, or Japanese, depending on heritage status). Study abroad for at least one semester is encouraged. The program aims to provide graduates with both foundational analytical skills and the context for graduate/professional careers in international, governmental, business, or academic sectors. Taught in English.
