The Bachelor of Justice and Civil Leadership (JCL) at Underwood International College (UIC), Yonsei University, is an interdisciplinary program aiming to prepare students to recognize, analyze, and advocate for justice and civil leadership in complex societies at the international and national levels. The curriculum draws on methodologies from the humanities and social sciences—particularly philosophy, politics, economics, and sociology. Students develop the essential analytical skills, balanced judgment, advanced policy planning and coordination abilities, and creative initiative to address human and social problems, transforming them into public affairs through active civic leadership. Mandatory courses include research methods, Korean studies, and core interdisciplinary training. Graduates pursue careers in public administration, international organizations, consultancy (profit and non-profit), law, journalism, and academia.
