The Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature and Culture (CLC) at Underwood International College, Yonsei University, is an interdisciplinary major taught entirely in English. The program integrates the study of diverse literary traditions—including Asian, European, and American—with critical theory, film, and popular culture. Students analyze a spectrum of historical and contemporary works, from classical Chinese poetry to K-pop's gender politics. The curriculum emphasizes cross-cultural literary analysis, media literacy, and cultural hybridity, training students for global citizenship and careers in creative fields, graduate study, or cultural industries. Courses are taught by internationally-experienced faculty drawn from multiple language and literature departments. First-year students complete a common curriculum at the Yonsei International Campus before specializing from their second year at the Sinchon Campus.
