Kyung Hee University's Bachelor of Arts in Korean Language and Literature, housed in the College of Humanities, offers comprehensive study in the Korean language as well as classical and modern Korean literature. Students gain fluency in Korean, study ancient and modern dialects, and engage in works written in Korean across historical periods. The curriculum divides into three key majors—Korean linguistics, classical literature, and contemporary literature—and covers topics such as oral literature, literary criticism, folklore, grammar, phonology, history of Korean literature, and creative writing. The department aims to cultivate scholars, educators, and writers who elevate Korean literature globally and advance the cultural value of Hangul and Korean heritage.
