Kyung Hee University's Bachelor of Textile and Clothing Design, established in 1999 under the College of Fine Arts (often referenced as College of Art and Design), offers a comprehensive programme integrating textile design (printing, weaving, knitting, embroidery) with clothing/fashion design. Students learn the principles of fabric design, fashion studio techniques, use of CAD, surface and hand painting, dyeing, textile finishing, apparel production, and global marketing. The curriculum emphasizes practical and creative design skills, technical textile knowledge, and market-oriented textile and apparel production. Students gain experience with the latest industry technology and are prepared for careers in fabric and fashion industries, including roles as designer, colorist, stylist, and more. Graduation requires the completion of at least 130 credits, with core courses in textile design and clothing design, and participation in practical projects and exhibitions.
