An interdisciplinary undergraduate programme at HKUMed designed to develop multidisciplinary and international perspectives, core knowledge blocks, and people‑ and systems‑oriented competencies for modern health and development fields. The curriculum includes basic-to-intermediate level courses across multiple faculties, advanced seminars and case studies, BASc core courses on leadership and big data analytics, and a distinctive compulsory 6‑month capstone placement (typically overseas) in leading health and development organisations such as UN agencies, NGOs, CROs, and philanthropic foundations. The programme features one anchoring course each year using a case‑based problem‑solving approach, with options for international exchange or intercalation in Year 3.
