The HKU Faculty of Law offers a 4‑year LLB designed to benchmark against leading global law programmes and to prepare graduates for further professional training (e.g., PCLL) and diverse legal or law‑related careers. The curriculum spans core common‑law subjects (contract, tort, criminal, constitutional, administrative law), Hong Kong SAR legal system, Chinese legal system, business associations and commercial law, land law, equity & trusts, legal research and writing, and legal theory, with interdisciplinary/common core components and electives across years 3–4. A normal load is 60 credits per academic year (about 30 per semester). The Faculty also participates in a 4‑year double‑LLB programme with UCL in which students spend 2 years at UCL and 2 years at HKU and receive two LLB degrees.
