An interdisciplinary five-year honours double degree jointly offered by HKU’s Faculty of Education and Faculty of Science. Students complete one Science major (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) in the Faculty of Science while taking Education Professional Core courses that build pedagogical, psychological, and sociological foundations. Professional training, including school experience/teaching practice in Hong Kong secondary schools, is phased in over the five years, preparing graduates to teach senior-secondary science subjects in local mainstream schools.
