The BEcon&Fin is designed for students seeking a balanced study of economics and finance, recognising economics as a foundation for finance and finance as a key career path in Hong Kong. Students receive solid training in economic and financial theories and applications, and acquire skills to analyse human behaviour and social interaction as well as to solve problems in financial institutions. The single-major curriculum provides flexibility to pursue a second major or minors. The programme is offered by HKU Business School (Faculty of Business and Economics) and appears in the School’s list of undergraduate degree programmes. HKU and Peking University also offer an optional “Future Leaders” Dual Bachelor’s route under which eligible students spend two years at HKU and two years at PKU and, upon completion, receive BEcon&Fin (HKU) and BMgmt (PKU).
