The Bachelor of Social Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a broad-based undergraduate program designed for students interested in studying human society and relationships. In the first year, students take faculty package courses, allowing them to explore different social science disciplines. From the second year onward, students declare one of 11 specialized majors to complete their degree. The Faculty provides extensive flexibility and guidance so students can freely pursue their interests, with no quota restrictions when choosing majors. The program aims to cultivate students with social concern, interdisciplinary vision, and proactive learning attitudes, preparing graduates to contribute to individual and societal well-being.
