The Master of Design (Transitional Environments Design) (TED) developed by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University's School of Design addresses the complex design challenges of rapidly evolving rural and urban environments, especially in the context of the Greater Bay Area. The program bridges theory and practice in the analysis and design of diverse environments, focusing on both local (Hong Kong/China) and global contexts. Students are trained to develop critical and systemic approaches to design, engaging with issues of sustainability and sociocultural transformation. Graduates progress to careers in urban design, landscape architecture, sustainable development, and consultancy addressing transitional environmental needs.
