The Master of Science in High Performance Buildings (HPB) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is designed to provide advanced and interdisciplinary education aimed at the assessment and realization of high performance buildings that minimize global carbon footprints, optimize building system performance, and ensure optimal indoor environments for health and well-being. The program spans management, engineering, and environmental science, focusing on topics such as climate change, carbon footprint assessment, building systems optimization, and indoor environmental quality. The curriculum is composed of both compulsory and core subjects, such as Building System Performance, Building Carbon Footprint Assessment, Engineering Intelligent Buildings, Energy Efficient Buildings, and more.
