This government-funded programme is the first full-time undergraduate degree in medical laboratory science in Hong Kong, designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, reasoning abilities, and professional attitudes to become competent medical laboratory scientists. The curriculum blends university-based education with discipline-specific subjects, integrated clinical training in local medical laboratories, and opportunities for overseas exchange and clinical attachments. Graduates are eligible for registration (Part II) with the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board of Hong Kong, a legal requirement to practice locally.
