Starting in 2025/26, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University offers seven new bachelor’s degree schemes allowing students to explore majors across Interdisciplinary Studies, Business Administration, Construction and Environment, Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, and Science. All students begin with a Common Year One curriculum, building foundational knowledge and enabling flexibility to select or switch majors within the discipline. The Interdisciplinary Studies scheme is aimed at high-achieving students and allows for personalized mentorship, self-directed curriculum design, and the possibility to create custom majors.
