The LLMArbDR at City University of Hong Kong School of Law is a specialized programme providing both academic and practical training in arbitration and a broad range of dispute resolution methods. It focuses on developing expertise in domestic and international arbitration as well as other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms relevant to Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region. The curriculum equips professionals and executives from legal, industrial, commercial backgrounds with the skills necessary to participate effectively as parties, advocates, experts, arbitrators, or mediators. The programme also assists students in pursuing qualifications with arbitration and mediation bodies in Hong Kong, with certain courses conferring exemptions for professional accreditation steps. While the degree confers substantial legal and procedural knowledge, it does not qualify graduates to be barristers or guarantee mediator/arbitrator appointments. Teaching is conducted in English.
