The Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology at the University of Macau (UM) is designed based on the scientist-practitioner model. The program provides academic and clinical training, including coursework, research dissertation, and a practicum in a range of clinical placement settings. Graduates are qualified to practice as psychotherapists in Macau. The program is taught in English and equips students with theoretical foundations, clinical assessment abilities, intervention design and evaluation skills, research competence, professional communication, and ethical practice. Students will complete 45 credits of required coursework, 9 credits (1,002 hours) of supervised clinical practicum, and a thesis (6 credits) with public defense based on original empirical research.
