The Master of Social Sciences in Clinical Psychology at the University of Macau is designed to train professionals in clinical psychology based on the scientist-practitioner model. The program consists of a total of 60 credits: 45 credits of compulsory coursework, 9 credits of supervised clinical practicum (amounting to 1,002 hours), and 6 credits dedicated to a master’s thesis with a public oral defense. The curriculum provides both academic and clinical training, enabling graduates to practice as psychotherapists in Macau. Upon graduation and professional registration, graduates may conduct psychometric assessments, clinical diagnoses, and psychological treatments in accordance with Macau's ‘Accredited Criteria for Psychotherapist Professions’.
