UCL Faculty of Laws offers an LLM specialist pathway in Commercial and Corporate Law that provides advanced, practice-informed study of corporate law, regulation, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and related commercial subjects. Students complete 180 credits through taught modules and a research essay, with at least 60 credits drawn from qualifying modules in the specialism; the LLM at UCL can be completed in 10 months full-time. Example modules listed for 2025/26 include Comparative Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance, Corporate Insolvency and Restructuring, Corporations, Finance and the Environment, Cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions, International and Comparative Secured Transactions, International Law of Foreign Investment, Legal Aspects of International Finance, and Private Equity.
