UCL Institute of Education’s Social Policy (Evidence Synthesis) MSc focuses on advanced methods for evidence synthesis and systematic reviews, alongside social policy and the role of research evidence in policymaking and practice. Core themes include challenges and innovations in evidence synthesis, including the use of AI and machine learning during systematic review/evidence synthesis processes. The programme includes a dissertation with supervised empirical research and can be taken on campus or fully online, full-time, part-time, or modular/flexible. It has ESRC 1+3 training recognition, allowing it to stand alone as an MSc or serve as preparation for doctoral research, and is eligible for ESRC funding as the first year of a 1+3 PhD pathway.
