UCL IOE’s MA in Educational Planning, Economics and International Development develops knowledge, understanding and skills for work in educational planning, policy, management and administration with a focus on low- and middle-income contexts. The programme applies economic principles to educational planning issues, examines links between society and the economy and their implications for planning, and critically evaluates how economic analysis and evidence inform education policy, highlighting strengths and limitations of different approaches. Students complete 180 credits: typically three core modules (90 credits), one optional module (30 credits), and a 60‑credit dissertation; study modes include on‑campus, distance (online), or mixed mode (visa restrictions apply).
