UCL’s Civil Engineering BEng emphasises hands‑on, multidisciplinary learning through the Integrated Engineering Programme (IEP). Students build core civil engineering fundamentals while tackling practical engineering challenges and projects. Coverage includes structural design, transport dynamics, earthquake resilience, and environmental systems; students also select IEP Minors (one in Year 2, two in Year 3) and complete a substantial Year‑3 research project. All modules are compulsory except the IEP minor choices; successful completion of 360 credits awards the BEng (Hons).
