The New York City-based Master of Science in Advanced Urban Design (M.S. AUD) at Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art, and Planning is an intensive graduate-level program designed for applicants with a professional degree in architecture or closely related fields. The program immerses students in New York City and centers on contemporary urban, environmental, and social issues, using design tools to connect ecology, technology, and community for more just and creative urban futures. Curriculum includes design studios, methods seminars, theory/analysis, and practitioner engagement. The program is STEM-designated, enabling international graduates to extend U.S. F-1 visas for up to three years.
