The Weill Cornell Medicine Master of Science in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants (MSHS PA) program is a rigorous, 27-month full-time graduate program. It is designed for those seeking comprehensive PA training, integrating a preclinical classroom/technical skills phase, a preceptor-guided clinical phase, and a culminating research thesis with oral defense. The curriculum emphasizes generalist medicine, primary care, surgery, and professional development to produce competent, compassionate, and culturally sensitive physician assistants. Graduates are eligible for the National Certifying Board Examination administered by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. The program is registered with the New York State Education Department and holds continued accreditation from ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant). The next planned cohort is expected to start August 2026 with updated curricular enhancements for future healthcare needs. The program is located in New York City and provides clinical training at leading hospitals across the tri-state area.
