Cornell University's Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program, offered by the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning (AAP), is a five-year NAAB-accredited professional degree consistently ranked among the top in the U.S. It provides an intensive curriculum that integrates design studios with courses in history, theory, technology, and visual representation. Students spend the first three years in a rigorous core curriculum, including one semester in Rome (year three), followed by two years of advanced, interdisciplinary study. The program emphasizes both analog and digital representation, hands-on model building, and critical and creative inquiry. About one-quarter of coursework is completed outside the architecture department, taking advantage of broader Cornell resources. The program is STEM-designated, supporting extended post-graduation work authorization for international graduates.
