The UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering offers the Master of Science (MS) in Computer Engineering through its Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department. The program prepares graduates for advanced professional work or doctoral study, with emphasis on fundamental and practical aspects of computation, computer systems, and hardware. Students can choose from three MS degree plans: Thesis, Comprehensive (Standard), or Comprehensive (Interdisciplinary), all of which require breadth and depth coursework in computer engineering topics. Courses in algorithm design, systems, software engineering, robotics, AI, security, networks, and more are included. Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The program is available full- or part-time.
