The BA and BS in Cognitive Science at the University of California San Diego integrate neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, philosophy, and computer science to explore how people, animals, and computers perceive, act, and learn. The BS requires more rigorous coursework than the BA and allows optional specialization in areas such as Clinical Aspects of Cognition, Design and Interaction, Language and Culture, Machine Learning and Neural Computation, or Neuroscience. Core topics include distributed cognition, cognitive phenomena, cognitive neuroscience, and computational methods. An honors track is available for exceptional students.
