UC San Diego's Department of Theatre and Dance offers Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Theatre and Dance. The Theatre BA provides a balanced approach through theory and practice in performance, dramatic literature, playwriting, and design. The program is structured for students seeking a comprehensive liberal arts education in theatre or those preparing for graduate studies (MFA/PhD). The Dance BA emphasizes artistic and cultural diversity, movement practices, dancemaking, history, and theory. The curriculum includes diverse dance techniques (ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, world dance), performance opportunities, and creative choreography. Production and performance experience are integral to both majors, with multiple opportunities for students each academic year, including annual dance concerts ('winterWORKS,' 'New Directions') and theatre productions. The department encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and fosters a noncompetitive, creative environment. 来源： https://www-theatre.ucsd.edu/admissions/graduate/index.html
