The Bachelor of Science in NanoEngineering at the Aiiso Yufeng Li Family Department of Chemical and Nano Engineering, Jacobs School of Engineering, UC San Diego is a four-year, ABET-accredited undergraduate program. It integrates nanoscale science, technology, and engineering, drawing from fields such as materials science, chemistry, biology, and physics, and aims to produce multidisciplinary graduates. The curriculum comprises 137 units (plus general education requirements) covering mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, core engineering, and specialized nanoengineering electives. Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 and at least a C– in each major course. The program prepares graduates for a broad range of nanoengineering careers in industries such as materials, medicine, energy, sensors, and environmental technologies.
