The Engineering Physics major at UC San Diego's Jacobs School of Engineering, administered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program jointly supported by the Departments of Physics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), and ECE. It provides a rigorous foundation in both physics and engineering and is designed for students with an interest in applying physics and advanced mathematics to technological and engineering problems. The program consists of foundational coursework in mathematics and physics, followed by upper-division engineering and science electives tailored to individual interests in applied physics and engineering design.
