Michigan State University's Master of Public Health (MPH) is offered through the College of Human Medicine in a fully online format. The program trains students for leadership and practice in public health across a range of settings. Three concentrations are available: Generalist, Rural Public Health (new for 2024), and Public Health Data Management and Analytics (new for 2024). The curriculum includes 10 foundational credits, 15 core credits, 12 elective credits, and a 6-credit culminating experience. The program is designed for maximum flexibility—courses are asynchronous and part-time study is allowed. No GRE is required for admission. The program emphasizes applied learning, health promotion, disease prevention, epidemiology, and policy analysis. MSU provides individualized advising and mentoring from application through graduation.
