The Master of Science in Human Development and Family Studies at Michigan State University's College of Social Science prepares students to understand diverse families and development of individual family members. The program is flexible, allowing focus on human development (childhood, adolescence, adulthood), family diversity, or cultural/community contexts. It prepares graduates for work and advocacy roles in community agencies, policy-making contexts, or for doctoral study. Students choose between a thesis (Plan A) and non-thesis (Plan B) route.
