The Master of Arts in Family and Community Services at Michigan State University (formerly within the College of Human Ecology, now under Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Social Science) prepares students to deliver and manage programs and services that support family and child development in local, national, and global community settings. The program emphasizes social services, family dynamics, program administration and evaluation, resilience in families, and social policy. It is delivered online through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (IDEA) for maximum flexibility. Graduates work in community agencies, extension services, crisis centers, and advocacy organizations, focusing on the well-being of children and families.
