NYU Abu Dhabi’s History BA is housed in the Arts and Humanities Division and builds a globally comparative and regionally informed foundation in historical methods and research. The curriculum centers on two required courses—Globalization and History and Writing History—plus at least seven electives, leading to a two‑semester senior Capstone research project. The program organizes study through four long-term zones of human interaction: the Asia-Pacific World, the Atlantic World, the Indian Ocean World, and the Mediterranean–Black–Caspian Sea World, allowing students to progress from globally-situated vantage points to thematic and regionally focused seminars.
