NYU College of Arts & Science’s Wilf Family Department of Politics offers a BA in Politics that develops evidence-based, analytic understanding of political events and institutions. The curriculum includes political theory, quantitative and formal analysis, American, comparative, and international politics, spanning topics such as law, elections, ethnic conflict, justice, development, accountability, war and peacekeeping, public policy, democracy, political economy, strategy, and political attitudes and beliefs. Graduates pursue roles in government, NGOs, think tanks, international finance, multinationals, law, and related sectors, or advanced study in political science, law, and public/international affairs. An honors track requires 10 courses (40 credits), additional economics, a 3.65 GPA overall and in-major, a thesis with oral defense, and an A- or better in the two-semester senior honors sequence.
