The Master of Public Health (MPH) with a Veterinary Public Health (VPH) specialization at The Ohio State University is a collaborative, interdisciplinary program offered by the College of Public Health and the College of Veterinary Medicine. It prepares graduates for impactful careers in disease prevention and control at the human-animal interface through the 'One Health' approach, focusing on epidemiology of zoonoses, food safety, biosecurity, and related topics. The program includes individualized mentorship, applied practice experience, and an integrative learning project, and is one of the only MPH-VPH programs in the U.S. certified by the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. Graduates are equipped for roles in public health agencies, industry, and as experts on zoonotic and foodborne disease control in animal and human populations.
