The Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering (FABE) undergraduate program at Ohio State University trains students to solve engineering challenges related to food systems, agriculture, biology, and ecology. The program offers specializations in food engineering (production, processing, packaging, food safety), agricultural engineering (soil, water, machinery, and structures), biological engineering (integration of biological sciences with engineering), and ecological engineering (restoration of ecosystems and addressing water quality). FABE is nationally recognized for excellence, featuring a hands-on, supportive environment and connections to industry, with broad career outcomes available in the food industry, energy, environmental sectors, and biosciences. The department is jointly housed in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences and the College of Engineering, which provides students access to robust resources and faculty expertise.
