The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) at Ohio State University's College of Social Work is a CSWE-accredited undergraduate program designed to prepare students for generalist social work practice. Students engage in coursework covering professional values, ethics, social justice, research, practice skills, interviewing, working with individuals, families, and diverse populations, psychopathology, and fieldwork. The program includes at least 400 hours of field placement and allows flexibility for minors and certificates, such as Child Abuse & Neglect or Substance Misuse. Graduates are equipped for entry-level positions or continued graduate study. A new online option is available as of 2025.
