The Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) major at Ohio State University's College of Arts and Sciences offers rigorous interdisciplinary training in the foundations of philosophy, politics, and economics to equip students with the skills needed to think critically about the complex problems in modern societies. The curriculum encompasses at least 36 credit hours, including foundational coursework in formal/normative reasoning, economics, and political economy, as well as core PPE courses and a concentration in areas such as Choice and Behavior, Global Cooperation and Conflict, Justice and Moral Reasoning, or Law, Policy, and Governance. Students are encouraged to engage in internships (some are credit-bearing), research, and join relevant student organizations. Graduates of the program are prepared for careers in law, business, policy, consulting, finance, journalism, education, and public service.
