The Natural Resource Management (NRM) major at the School of Environment and Natural Resources, Ohio State University, educates students to bridge the gap between people and the environment. The curriculum combines classroom and hands-on learning, preparing students to manage human interactions with natural ecosystems in parks, protected areas, natural resource organizations, and agriculture/food systems. All students complete core courses in land management, environmental economics, and technical writing, with the option to specialize in Parks and Recreation or Natural Resource Administration and Management. Graduates are equipped for positions in environmental education, land management, and outreach, and are prepared to work in various government, nonprofit, and private sector roles.
