This program develops fundamental knowledge in biomechanics, physiology, and psychology, equipping students to understand how humans function in sport, physical activity, and health environments. Students explore topics such as nutrition and metabolism, sports medicine, and strength and conditioning, and undertake laboratory work. The course is highly interdisciplinary, introducing students to mechanisms behind sports performance, exercise participation, and health promotion, while offering practical skills and the opportunity to specialize in the final year through a research project. Students benefit from access to advanced facilities and expertise across sport and health science disciplines.
