This program prepares students to play a key role in the discovery, development, and testing of therapeutic agents aimed at improving global health. Students study disease processes in detail and learn about the impact and mechanisms of drugs at molecular, tissue, and whole-body levels. The course places strong emphasis on laboratory and experimental skills, including research and scientific communication. Optional professional placement is available, with extensive industry connections such as GSK and AstraZeneca.
