The Master of Urban Forestry Leadership (MUFL) at UBC’s Faculty of Forestry is a unique, interdisciplinary, course-based professional master's program designed to train strategic leaders for the rapidly evolving field of urban forestry. The 13-14 month program emphasizes leadership, decision-making, creative problem-solving, and strategic management within urban forestry, blending expertise from arboriculture, forestry, urban planning, landscape architecture, and policy. Delivered fully in-person at the UBC Point Grey campus, it prepares graduates to tackle complex urban ecosystem challenges, lead interdisciplinary teams, and steward sustainable urban forest programs in government, consulting, and academia.
