The Master of Kinesiology (MKin) at UBC is a non-thesis, course-based program with a minimum of 30 credits. The curriculum offers broad coursework covering foundational and advanced knowledge in clinical kinesiology and performance/coaching sciences. Students engage in practical field experiences and benefit from instruction by leading experts in both theory and practice. The program is designed to be completed in one year for full-time students (three terms), or extended to 3-4 terms. The MKin program does not require a thesis or direct research supervision; instead, learning is primarily through structured courses and optional field placements. Admission is highly competitive and only available for a September start each year.
